This cabinet took 3 people about 3 hours to put together. I was expecting that I'd get it together in 1-2 hours. By the end, we were sweating and swearing. It's only saving grace is that it looks nice (except the top which is already scratched up after only 3-4 months). I really needed a bench in that space, but not sure it's worth it.I’ve had this bench for the better part of two years now, and I’m so disappointed with it.It’s cute, and if left untouched, is perfect for an aesthetic, but it’s not usable at all. When I first got it, i had bought my first home and had built many little pieces at the point. Amazon is an addiction. HahaIn comparison to many other pieces, the directions were not as clear and some of the parts included had lost their labels. The diagram was fairly easy to follow though and I could distinguish what went where. The problem however is that someone the holes weren’t drilled into the right spots, and/or were not the right size for the screw or piece needed. A few centimeters to the right of left may not seem like much but when you’re trying to put a drawer together, it makes a huge difference. The tracks for the drawers are even slightly uneven. At first, i was able to put it together and make it work even though there was some extra work needed. Within a couple months, the drawers were already falling about and now, i can’t use it for storage all.It sits in the front of my bed and looks pretty, and that’s it.It was such a beautiful piece and I was so excited to decorate my first home. This has been a truly disappointing experience.Took about 6 months to get this bench. Had to order several times from different vendors to finally get it. Packaged well but there were dings in some of the corners and along the edges. Used a similar colored furniture marker to hide them. When assembling, holes were not lined up in some instances. Racks for the drawers weren't lined up either. Was able to finally get it together but it did take some time. Bench is very sturdy and love the design! Overall, very happy with this purchase. So, this thing had to get delivered by a special company. It will not come with FedEx or UPS because it is HEAVY. It also comes in two separate boxes as others have mentioned.Assembling it was relatively painless. When we unpacked the boxes we were able to take everything out and have all the pieces within easy reach. My partner and I assembled this together - and we used a drill - so that was an immense help. The pieces were clearly labeled and it was simple enough that one person could have done it alone. Where it took us 3 hours to do it with two people, it might take a solo builder 4 hours in total. We also broke it up over two nights. The first night we got the sides assembled and the doors put together; made sure each of the larger pieces had the proper screws and dowels. This way, on night two, it was mostly just joining the sides in the proper order and tightening the screws to get the piece built.I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but we are completely satisfied with what we purchased. It sits a 55" tv on the console perfectly. We also have a center speaker and a receiver for our surround sound in one of the lower shelves. The sliding doors aren't seamless when you move them, they do catch a little, but admittedly, we've only moved them twice each, so I'm sure with more use, those will also become smoother. The color is wonderful, it's a great height and its an understated, elegant addition to our living room. This took one person 5 hours to build due to cleaning (came covered in dust and styrofoam bits that clung all over), confusing instructions, the need to reposition the door and drawer, and general frustration. After all of that, the drawer still isn't perfectly aligned and there are a few scuff marks, but overall I am happy to have a place to store keys, mail, umbrella, etc. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs an entryway organizer to fit in a small place, but ONLY if they are aware of the downsides, which I find to be pretty predictable given that this is not an expensive high quality piece.I purchased 3 Farmington Entryway Hall Trees because I was desperate for modular storage to fit my unusual entryway. My desperation and the fact that it took a LONG time to assemble them are the only reasons I am keeping these furnishings. Several pieces were marred or defective; I used a sharpie to disguise marring and screws and glue to repair defects. Two of the three packages appeared to have water damage and portions of the packing foam appeared shredded (a big mess everywhere). Step 2 in the instruction booklet contains 2 errors in assembling parts G & H. By waiting until Step 7 to place the cam bolts in G & H, you should be able to detect and correct the errors. The cam locks are easily broken, so be very gentle if you still want to buy this product. The booklet claims you can find assembly tips online. I saw nothing, not even an online version of the instruction booklet. Overall, these will serve their purpose, but I suspect they will not hold up very long. Side note: the estimated assembly time is “1.5 hour” for 2 people, but when I timed myself on the 3rd cabinet - ASSEMBLY only, not unpacking, not sorting pieces, not anchoring it to the wall, no breaks - it took 2 people 1.75 hours. Now please excuse me, I must go vacuum the bits of static-cling packing foam from every nook and cranny in my home.Turned out as expected for under $500. Minor dings on some pieces. Instructions are mainly pictorial so pay very close attention to the images. Overall I’m happy and satisfied with my purchase. Took a total of 10 hours to assemble all three pieces but I’m a 52 yr old female with no prior experience and I did it all by myself.. A ready made equivalent would’ve cost me a between $1300-$3000. You really do get what you pay for.
