Took my husband 3 days to assemble with the time he had in the evenings. Wasn’t easy but he was able to finish it. Works great and looks great in my office.Overall I really do think this is worth the money, however what it does not explain is that you will need a power drill and some time. It is not a hard cabinet to assemble however it is time consuming with all the parts it includes. It took me about two hours to put together but then again i'm a learning 17 year old. It for sure is not the best filing cabinet out there but you most definitely get what you pay for.Overall if your looking for a cheap however nice looking filing cabinet I think this would be your best bet. At first I was hesitant with reading the reviews but decided to give it a shot and it was well worth it!(One piece was msicut where the backboard was supposed to slide into but was easily fixable by chiseling the slot)Assembly instructions need to be followed exactly as printed. Assembly is time consuming! It was a bit tricky at times to put together, I used an electric drill I had to speed up the process; however, doing it with the included tools is definitely doable. Overall about 2 hours of work to assemble. So far, the materials seem really high quality, there is plenty of drawer space as well. 5/5I would sacrifice the short height if it meant larger drawers for the top drawers. They're an inch or two too small (vertically) to be very useful.Everything else is great. It looks good, elegant. It doesn't scratch or look like the facade is going to fall apart the next time someone just brushes up against it, which is the usual problem with wood or faux wood furniture that you need to assemble at home.I will probably order another one to place my multi-function printer on.Edit: I ordered a second one. Read some reviews. Not sure what color"espresso" is, but the picture clearly shows a black file cabinet, and that's what I received. The directions are not difficult to follow. Everything is clearly labeled, and the directions are step by step. The cabinet is very stable when constructed properly. I'm not a construction worker or carpenter. I'm a fat man in a wheelchair. Odo everything slowly. The first cabinet took about 2 hours. Two days later, the second cabinet took almost an hour. Again, I have no special skills and I'm doing this in a wheelchair. It ain't rocket science.I did order some draw handles and DIY'd them to the cabinets so that there was an something to grasp while rolling the units. Pictures attached. They're on the top off one cabinet and the sides of the cabinet with the printer......... amount of work and time I put into it. 300 pieces later here's my review....... I make my own furniture, and this was even a hassle for me. Not only was this file cabinet made more complicated than it needed to be, but the instructions are missing some details. Some assembly required means some not all assembly required. Some of the nails don't even go in all the way because they aren't the correct length. This thing can take 3-4 hours putting together if working non-stop, and when you don't have the time to spare a couple of days. Then I had an issue with one of the sliders on the lock portion being warped. So, it would keep sliding down, and not latching even though it had been secured. I don't think this file cabinet is worth the money, especially when so much time and energy is put into it and all you see is this tiny little achievement afterwards. The lock is also very cheap. If you can find a better one, I recommend you do so. If you like this one, then I'm happy for you.I'm disappointed, because I wanted to like it. It would be five stars if it were actually the color advertised. It's quite good for what it is. I ordered the espresso colored version of this cabinet and... it's not espresso. It's black. So it doesn't match the desk I will be sitting it next to. I have taken pictures of it next to two espresso colored pieces of furniture I have, and even the terrible camera on my phone shows that this is clearly not the advertised color. I understand that colors can vary slightly from company to company, but this is BLACK, and calling it espresso is simply wrong.Assembly: First, the reviews that mention it having a ton of parts and it being impossible to put together are exaggerating. In fact, it has exactly 20 pieces; 5 per drawer and 5 for the main body, plus hardware. It's no more difficult to put together than any other flat packed furniture in my experience as long as you go slowly. The instructions aren't amazing, and it did tell me to install part of the locking mechanism upside down at one point, but they are perfectly serviceable. It took me about two hours to put together from opening the box to rolling the completed file into place. Could probably shave half an hour off that by using an electric screwdriver.Build Quality: It's MDF wood. This isn't a $300 solid wood or thick metal cabinet. Knowing that, it's very good for what it is. It's sturdy, although I definitely wouldn't used it as a step stool or to store your lead weight collection. I have my desktop tower sitting on top of it and have no worries what-so-ever about it breaking. The drawers use very basic metal wheel rails, and the bottom of the drawers is fiber board. A few pounds per drawer won't be an issue, and the bottom drawer has hanging rails for letter sized hanging files. The lock... well... if you're buying an $80 filing cabinet for the security, you're barking up the wrong tree. It works, in that when you turn the key, the drawers no longer open. All three drawers are locked at the same time. This will keep a child or nosy room mate out, but for anyone who really wants to see what ever is in there, a few forceful pulls will probably break the mechanism. I didn't buy it for this purpose, so that doesn't bother me.A final note, the wheels can be left off without hindering the bottom drawer being opened (although I recommend using a few extra screws on the wheel rails holding the drawer if you do this, as the wheel attached to the bottom drawer bares a fair bit of weight). Without the wheels, the cabinet stands just under 23 inches tall.Verdict: As long as go in knowing this is MDF flat pack furniture (and is BLACK NOT ESPRESSO!) I'd say it is a very good deal for what it is. If you need real security or a cabinet you pass down the family, you're looking in the wrong price range. If, like me, you just want a small cheap, but decent quality hanging fill cabinet to help keep you organised, this is a good bet.If I could give this thing zero stars I would. I have purchases around 60 items on Amazon prime over the past few months and this was by far the worst experience. Assembly was extremely hectic, literally every single part was separate, even the rollers had to be built. And with the poor quality of this item, the assembled cabinet had one drawer too tight and scrapes the sides with every movement, and another offside that cannot close unless I force it to the right. The only merit this thing has is the locking mechanism. And I worked in a furniture store for 5 years so I know how to put furniture together. With respect to the other reviews on this product I guess there is the 'luck of the draw' because I found the product to be exactly what I was looking for. I've had similar problems with other products like this (e.g. missing parts, poor quality instructions and misaligned screw holes, warped boards, etc.). This product was perfect. Yes, it takes a long time to put together (2.5 hours) just because of the number of parts. I took care to check to make sure all of the parts were there and that all of the wood/veneer was in perfect shape (no cracks or bubbling) before I started. Locking mechanism works perfectly and the picture matches the mahogany finish.I’m very happy with the size of this unit. It’s a really nice cabinet, stylish and the quality is great. Comparably speaking it’s a good value for the price.great sizeNot very good. Laminate bubbling. I expect a replace. Check out the pick
