Product instructions are so confusing and misleading. It really will frustrate you to an extent that you will bound to make mistakes. Also final product after assembly for us had some flaws but we have to live with it. Not happy with the productThis is a beautiful pretty sturdy piece. It looks great as an entry way piece and I purchased to get rid of the clutter of shoes by my front door. The one and only complaint is the assembly directions are not very clear. It's mostly pictures with very few actual instructions. Plus to top it off the hardware packages are not labeled so you REALLY have to pay attention. I had to count the screws in each package to attempt to match up the pictures since the pictures tell you how many screws should be in the package. I'm still not sure of I got all the correct screws in the correct places since multiple packages had 4 screws, I was left to guess. Still overall happy with the purchase and even though it was a bit of a pain to put together, it's a lovely piece. This is a terrible product. Normally I do not write reviews unless I am extreme on dislike or love. First one I ordered arrived with one piece of wood broken. Ok I get that. It happens. No prob easy return. Except getting it back in the box to return is a chore. So there is an hour (and a few days waiting for the replacement to arrive) wasted in unboxing the old one assessing the parts and then being told I have to rebid the old one and send it back. Anyone putting furniture together knows the boxes are pretty much one time use. Finally done. Assembling the new one.... I know many of you have put this type together before but let me say, always use glue on every joint and it will last much longer. Assembly instructions are pretty easy if you have done this before. Needs help more detail if you are new to this. Now for the bad. The holes don’t line up very well. The doors are impossible to adjust with bad hole alignment. I have hand built many items including drawers and cabinets and I know my way around a door hinge. These did not line up as the holes are off. No fix possible but to drill new holes. Some of the predrilled holes were drilled too deep so the wooden dowels would go all the way through. The instructions tell you to put the shelf support pins in on page one. I shrug as this is usually a bad idea as doors get in the way of shelves. So I follow and sure enough, I have to remove the pins st the end to install them. Not a huge deal but still..... Now I am sure Amazon will tell me to return it if it is that terrible. However, even if you don’t glue it, you would still have to take the time to disassemble it...aaand re-box it. So how many hours of your life are worth this? I would say this product is worth $20. So if you like making sure your time is not wasted on trash, look elsewhere. I have put together $100 shelves before and with glue and proper fastening they have lasted well over 10yrs. Find another brand. A note to Amazon- when you open your name to new products, be sure you know what you are promoting. The more Items you sell that waste my time the more I go elsewhere. If you keep the junk away, you will be my go to. But the last couple of years you have lost more and more of my money because of the trash that wastes my time.I love this it was way more expensive on Target. It took me like 2-3 hours to put together, that's my only complaint. I want to punch the guy who drew up the instructions, in his mouth. I did it this way.Figuring it the legs was the most difficult, once you get that, is easy. After the legs, slide the back inThen secure everything,Slide the shelves in, than the topSave doors for last. And you'll be fine.Again, if anyone knows the guy who created the instruction manual, let me know...I will punch him in his suck hole. Thank youWhile this was more expensive than I would have liked, I couldn't find a sturdy, closed off shoe cabinet of comparable size for a better price. Plus, I really liked having the drawer on top to use for belts and shoe inserts. This cabinet took some effort to build, but I was able to do it by myself in about 2 hours at a very leisurely pace. The assembly instructions weren't stellar but I was able to figure it out without too much difficulty. It's been tucked away in a closet since and seems to be working well. My only complaint is that if you have very high heeled shoes, they probably won't fit in these shelves unless you lay them sideways. I wear a shoe size 6.5 and the heels I own are fairly modest in height (2-3" heel max), and some of my shoes barely fit in the shelves upright. My shoes fit fine in terms of depth of the shelves, but I'm doubtful that it would fit men's shoes.I am very happy with this purchase. This was to replace an ugly shoe rack that was by the front door. This looks a whole lot better. In response to the reviews that say the doors do not line up properly, the doors are adjustable so you can get them to line up correctly, on each hinge there's a little screw and as you tighten it that angles the doors one way or the other. It also seems to be affected by how level your floor is, but just adjust that screw to get the doors to line up properly.I'm only giving four stars because I feel like the instructions could have been a little better, especially in regards to lining up the doors. And there is a teeny tiny chip on one of the doors from Factory, but it's barely noticeable and I'm going to dot It with a magic marker.Probably going to buy a second one to use as a coffee stand. This is certainly NOT high quality furniture. For the price it is decent, functional and looks good. The color is supposed to be a brown/black, but it's mostly black. Only the feet are wood, the rest is fiberboard and the backing and door louvers are cardboard. Assembly wasn't too bad. The instructions aren't great, but if you read through them first, identify all the panels from the pictures (only two of mine were labeled) you can get it done fairly quickly. It took me a couple hours, with a few distractions. The doors line up just fine, but it takes some adjusting to the hinges. The shoe cabinet does what it is intended to do. I was hesitant to get a unit with doors, but is actually nice since all the shoes are hidden - makes the cabinet look like another piece of furniture and not just a stand/shelf. Assembly took about 2 hrs - not all of the pieces were labelled, but it didn't affect us that much since we followed the instructions and could see which parts were needed. The only issues that we had were that the doors were a pain to get flush and even. Originally they were crooked and would overlap, but if you adjust the inner hinges you can get them flush. In addition, the back panel is super flimsy, but it isn't that big of a deal since ours is against a wall. Overall, it's pretty good so far.Fast delivery, I received my cabinet without a scratch on it, very well packed. Assembly was simple and fairly straight forward. Love the look, love the colour, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again or recommend this cabinet. I actually don't use it for shoes but it does make an excellent storage cabinet.Rangement pour chaussure, meuble beau mais qualité de base ,ne vaut pas le prix !Corners are very sharp. Wish they would use better wood then press-board for items like this. Can't put wet shoes on the shelves or it will lift. One small chip in the corner. Not really worth the price.Fit the description and pictures online. Perfect size for my entryway. The only thing is it took a few hours to put it together. It's a good purchase.
